Supporting up to 8K resolution at 30 frames per second, APV achieves 10% less storage usage compared to other comparable formats although preserving the same objective visual quality.
Enabling APV on Your Galaxy S26 Ultra
To activate APV, navigate to the following settings:
- Camera > Settings > Video Format > APV
- Choose your preferred APV control: APV HDR or APV Log
- Select the desired file compression type: APV 422 HQ (high-quality video) or APV 422 LQ (optimized for storage capacity and limited data rates)
- Toggle the selected shooting mode on or off in the Camera preview
