The Galaxy Tab S11 is out, which means only one thing – the previous generation is going down in price. Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ it remains one of the best Android tablets on the market, and now it’s nine grand cheaper. The S Pen is included in the package.
A display that still belongs to the top
12.4″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X resolution panel 2800 × 1752 pixels and 120Hz refresh rate is sharp and smooth. The anti-reflective coating significantly improves readability outdoors – reviews mention that you can use the tablet in a well-lit environment without any problems.
The iPad Pro with Tandem OLED has better brightness (1000 nits vs 650 nits), but it’s also quite a bit more expensive at this size. Instead of Snapdragon, you can find it here MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ with 12 GB of RAM. Surprisingly, it works great – Lightroom, games and multi-window multitasking run smoothly. Cooling keeps the tablet cool even during prolonged use.
The battery with a capacity of 10,090 mAh can last a whole day of intensive use. Charging 45 W (adapter not included) charges the tablet in about 90 minutes. It’s not fast, but acceptable considering the capacity.
The AKG-tuned speakers are excellent according to reviews – they sound great even at full volume, which is not a given for tablets.
S Pen included
The S Pen is included in the package and is charged wirelessly on the back of the tablet. Magnets in the corners allow for quick storage without having to hide it in the back.
Samsung promises 7 years of software updatesbut security patches only come quarterly — not monthly like flagship phones. It freezes for a tablet for the original 31 thousand.
An Android tablet is not an iPad
Let’s face it: Android’s app ecosystem on tablets is lagging behind. Procreate, full Photoshop or DaVinci Resolve you won’t find it here. DeX mode is great for basic work, but mobile Chrome doesn’t handle some web apps as well as Safari on the iPad.
If you need a tablet primarily for media, notes and light work, the Tab S10+ excels. If you need professional creative applications, the iPad is still a better choice.
