San Antonio de Arredondo has staked its claim as a year-round destination for active travelers, bringing its newly expanded geography and outdoor catalog to the Feria Internacional de Turismo 2026.
The municipal presentation centered on the identity of “Tierra de Senderos”, showcasing an integrated offering of nature, adventure, culture, and astrotourism for the upcoming season at one of Latin America’s primary tourism industry gatherings.
Ciudad De Montaña Promotes Wellness Tourism and Outdoor Activities
Central to the showcase was the municipal program Ciudad de Montaña, an initiative geared toward wellness tourism and outdoor experiences. The program promotes activities such as trekking, trail running, kayaking, and climbing by using the area's natural resources.
Officials also highlighted the recent expansion of the municipal boundary, which now incorporates the Río de la Suela zone and the Bosque Alegre Astronomical Observatory. This new territorial configuration integrates productive, patrimonial, and natural attractions while bolstering an identity designed to connect the earth with the sky through astrotourism.
San Antonio De Arredondo Highlights Cultural and Religious Heritage
Beyond outdoor sports, the presentation emphasized San Antonio de Arredondo’s historical, cultural, and religious heritage. The program highlighted local religious institutions and their connection to the Camino de Brochero, while reinforcing the locality’s strategic positioning as the Km 0 of the Rutas del Cóndor.
To incentivize direct engagement with the public, visitors to the promotional space participated in sweepstakes for tourist stays and experiences, designed to familiarize travelers with local services.
Tourism Serves as a Strategic Engine for Community Development
Participation in the international event serves to strengthen the destination’s visibility, accompany the growth of local providers, and consolidate tourism as a strategic engine for community and economic development. By integrating mountain landscapes, rivers, culture, production, and science, the destination projects itself as an experience-driven option across all twelve months.
