San Antonio Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones Censure Approved by City Council

The San Antonio City Council formally censured Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones on Friday, February 27, 2026, in an 8-1 vote. The censure stems from an incident on February 5th where Jones admitted to using profanity and raising her voice towards Councilwoman Sukh Kaur.
