Giorgia Cardinaletti to Co-Host Sanremo 2026 Finale, Lifetime Achievement Awards Announced

Giorgia Cardinaletti, a prominent journalist and presenter for Italy’s Tg1 news program, will join Carlo Conti and Laura Pausini as co-host for the final evening of the 76th Sanremo Music Festival in 2026. This announcement was made during a live broadcast on Tg1 by Carlo Conti, who also serves as the artistic director and host of the festival. The 2026 edition of Sanremo is dedicated to the legacy of Pippo Baudo.

Lifetime Achievement Awards

Conti also announced Lifetime Achievement Awards recognizing significant contributions to Italian music. The recipients are:

  • Fausto Leali: Celebrated as a symbolic interpreter of the Italian melodic tradition.
  • Mogol: Recognized as one of the most important and influential songwriters in Italian music history.
  • Caterina Caselli: Honored for her career as both a singer and a highly respected record producer.

The awards were announced 72 hours after the opening of the Sanremo Festival.
