Sanremo 2026: Conti Announces Duets and Wraps Up 76th Festival

The 76th edition of the Sanremo Italian Song Festival is drawing to a close, with the fourth night dedicated to duets taking center stage on February 27th. Artistic director and host Carlo Conti revealed a series of unexpected pairings, including Mara Sattei with Mecna, Tredici Pietro performing with his father Gianni, Maria Antonietta and Colombre alongside Brunori, Nayt and Joan Thiele, and Fulminacci collaborating with journalist Francesca Fagnani.

Duet Performances and Rankings

While the duet performances were a highlight, the scores from this evening do not contribute to the final competition results. According to initial rankings, Ditonellapiaga and TonyPitony secured first place, followed by Sayf with Alex Britti and Mario Biondi in second, and Arisa with the Coro Teatro Regio di Parma in third.

Conti Reflects on the Festival

Carlo Conti, leading the festival for the fifth time after previous editions in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2025, expressed his satisfaction with the event. He highlighted the variety and freshness of the performances, noting that each act is designed as a complete present. Conti dedicated this year’s festival to the memory of Pippo Baudo, a celebrated figure in Italian music.

The festival features 30 established artists and four newcomers, selected from Sanremo Giovani and Area Sanremo. The artists are accompanied by the Festival Orchestra, conducted by Pinuccio Pirazzoli, comprised of professional musicians from Rai and the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra Foundation, as well as vocalists.
