SBS Expands Cycling Coverage to Include All Grand Tours and Monuments
Australian cycling fans are set for a comprehensive season of coverage as SBS has announced it will broadcast all major Grand Tour and Monument races live, free, and exclusively on SBS and SBS On Demand. This expanded offering includes both men’s and women’s events, solidifying SBS’s position as Australia’s premier destination for cycling broadcasts.
Expanded Broadcast Rights
Under a modern agreement with RCS Sport, the organizer of the Giro d’Italia, SBS has added the Giro d’Italia Women and Il Lombardia to its cycling schedule through 2028. This means viewers will have access to all three Grand Tours for both men and women: the Giro d’Italia, Tour de France, and Vuelta a Espana, alongside the Giro d’Italia Women, Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, and Vuelta Espana Femenina.
The Five Monuments
In addition to the Grand Tours, SBS will also broadcast all five cycling Monuments – one-day classics considered the most prestigious in the sport. These include Milan-Sanremo and Sanremo Women, which will kick off the coverage this Saturday, March 21st, on SBS VICELAND and SBS On Demand. The schedule continues with the Tour of Flanders (April 5th), Paris-Roubaix (April 12th), Liège-Bastogne-Liège (April 26th), and concludes with Il Lombardia on October 10th.
