Lawsuit Details Alleged Incident During WWE Event

A Cook County Sheriff’s Department officer has filed a lawsuit against WWE and wrestler Montez Ford, alleging a sexualized “lap dance” during a July 6, 2026, episode of WWE Monday Night Raw. Noel Lucas, a security guard working off-duty at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, claims that Montez Ford—whose legal name is Kenneth Crawford—performed the act without consent during the Street Profits’ entrance, according to a complaint filed in Cook County Circuit Court. The incident, part of a live Netflix broadcast, is described as a “sexually provocative dance” involving “thrusting and gyrating hips,” with Crawford’s left inner thigh reportedly rubbing against Lucas’s leg.

WWE’s Response and Video Availability

WWE has not issued a public statement regarding the lawsuit as of July 7, 2026, per POST Wrestling. The official July 6 Raw on Netflix does not include the alleged interaction, as the video cuts to a break during the Street Profits’ entrance. However, the clip central to the case remains widely available online, with Lucas alleging it garnered “hundreds of thousands of views” on WWE and Crawford’s social media platforms. A tweet by V. ✨♥️♥️🕷️🐝 on July 7, 2026, shared a clip of the incident, which Lucas claims exposed his face and violated the Illinois Right of Publicity Act by using his image without consent.

Impact on Plaintiff’s Life and Legal Claims

Lucas alleges the video led to public humiliation, with members of the public mocking him at his courthouse job and his children facing ridicule at school. His lawsuit seeks unspecified monetary damages, punitive damages, and an injunction against WWE and Crawford using his identity. The case management hearing is scheduled for December 10.

WWE’s Role and Security Arrangements

According to the legal filing, Lucas was assigned to a ringside position by a WWE employee while working as a security supervisor for Monterrey Security. The complaint details Crawford’s actions as “a sexualized ‘lap dance,’” with the wrestler moving “increasingly closer” to Lucas during the live broadcast. “Defendant Crawford then began performing a sexually provocative dance immediately in front of and over Plaintiff [Lucas], repeatedly thrusting and gyrating his hips and pelvis towards Plaintiff, performing a sexualized ‘lap dance,’” the filing states. Crawford’s “left inner thigh repeatedly rubbed against Plaintiff’s leg,” according to the complaint.

Next Steps in the Legal Process

Lucas’s legal team has emphasized the emotional distress caused by the public exposure, with the plaintiff reporting that “members of the public recognized him from the videos of the encounter that had circulated on social media and mocked him, thrusting their hips in his direction, imitating the sexual movements” that Crawford had performed. The case management hearing is scheduled for December 10.
