Paolo Genovesi’s hit comedy Sei mai stata sulla luna? returns to Italian television in prime time, bringing viewers across a cinematic journey from Milan’s urban core to the sun-drenched historic towns and ancient farmhouses of Apulia. Released originally to wide audiences, the film features an ensemble cast including Raoul Bova, Neri Marcorè, Nino Frassica, Emilio Solfrizzi, Sabrina Impacciatore, Giulia Michelini, and Pietro Sermonti.
Plot and Character Arc
According to production details, the narrative follows Guia, a high-flying, Italo-Spanish fashion magazine director dividing her time between Milan and Paris. When her father passes away, she inherits his rural estate in Apulia where she spent her childhood summers. Guia initially plans to liquidate the property immediately. Upon arrival, however, she confronts a radically different lifestyle involving a cousin with an intellectual disability, an attractive widowed farm manager, and a tight-knit local community. Over time, her perspective shifts under the influence of Renzo, the estate manager portrayed by Raoul Bova.

The primary setting for the estate inherited by Guia is Masseria Lupoli, situated in Crispiano according to regional film background reports. Crispiano sits geographically between the Itria Valley and the Gulf of Taranto within an area recognized as the land of a hundred farmhouses. Production teams also utilized Nardò for historic streetscapes.
