Kodokan Ditzingen to Host “Not With Me!” Violence Prevention Course for Children

Ditzingen, Germany – The Kodokan Ditzingen e.V., a Ju-Jutsu club in Ditzingen, will be offering a violence prevention and self-defense course titled “Nicht mit mir” (“Not with me!”) for girls and boys aged 8 to 14. The course aims to empower children and young people by teaching them to recognize dangers, build confidence, and respond appropriately in potentially harmful situations.

Course Details

The “Not with me!” course focuses on three key areas: prevention, self-assertion, and self-defense. Participants will learn preventative measures to avoid dangerous situations, develop self-assertion skills to confidently set boundaries, and acquire basic self-defense techniques for emergencies. The program is designed to help children grow into self-confident individuals who can protect themselves.

The course will run every Tuesday from April 14th to May 19th, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. To 7:00 p.m. At the gym and festival hall at Heimerdingen Weissacher Straße 44.

Registration and Cost

The cost for the complete six-unit course, including all materials, is €60. Interested parents are encouraged to register their children by March 31, 2026, by sending an email to kodokan-ditzingen@gmx.de. The email should include the child’s name, age, address, and telephone number.

Kodokan Ditzingen e.V. Is a Ju-Jutsu club dedicated to self-defense training. The “Not with me!” program is a collaborative effort with the German Ju-Jutsu Association, offering a supplementary sports program focused on violence prevention, self-assertion, and self-defense skills. Ranavolo-Olt GbR also supports the initiative, emphasizing the importance of protecting children from all forms of violence. The program follows a “reverse traffic light principle” – prioritizing prevention, then self-assertion, and finally, self-defense as a last resort.

The German Ju-Jutsu Federation highlights that violence prevention involves actions taken by institutions like schools and police, as well as educated individuals.
