Woman Falls to Her Death in Sembawang, Police Investigating

A 60-year-old woman died on March 10, 2026, after falling from a Housing and Development Board (HDB) block in Sembawang, Singapore. Police have classified the case as an unnatural death and are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

According to witnesses, the woman was heard arguing with a 66-year-old man believed to be her partner prior to the fall . A neighbor, Ms. Zhong, reported hearing shouting from the couple’s unit and observing a heated argument through her peephole .

Police Investigation and Evidence

Police responded to the scene and cordoned off the area below the HDB block. Investigators questioned residents, including Ms. Zhong, and seized a folding table found in the corridor as evidence . The man involved was questioned by police and later escorted back to the unit, reportedly to retrieve belongings .

Financial Difficulties

Neighbors reported that the woman frequently borrowed money from residents. An 80-year-old neighbor, Mr. Hu, stated his wife had warned her about reporting the requests to the police. Another neighbor mentioned the woman had asked him for a cigarette and then for money shortly after .
