Woman Falls to Her Death in Sembawang, Police Investigating

According to witnesses, the woman was heard arguing with a 66-year-old man believed to be her partner prior to the fall . A neighbor, Ms. Zhong, reported hearing shouting from the couple’s unit and observing a heated argument through her peephole .
Police Investigation and Evidence
Police responded to the scene and cordoned off the area below the HDB block. Investigators questioned residents, including Ms. Zhong, and seized a folding table found in the corridor as evidence . The man involved was questioned by police and later escorted back to the unit, reportedly to retrieve belongings .
Financial Difficulties
Neighbors reported that the woman frequently borrowed money from residents. An 80-year-old neighbor, Mr. Hu, stated his wife had warned her about reporting the requests to the police. Another neighbor mentioned the woman had asked him for a cigarette and then for money shortly after .
