Sensory and Qualcomm Collaborate to Enhance AI Capabilities in Snapdragon Wear Elite
SANTA CLARA, CA – March 2, 2026 – Sensory, Inc., a leading provider of edge AI technology for speech recognition and biometrics, today announced a collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. To optimize its Sensory Micro engine for employ in the Snapdragon Wear Elite platform. This integration aims to bring advanced, low-power AI capabilities to next-generation wearable devices.
Enhanced AI Performance at the Edge
The collaboration will enable Sensory’s wake word, speech recognition, and biometric technologies to operate on devices powered by Snapdragon Wear Elite, while significantly reducing power consumption. Sensory’s technology suite, including the compact Sensory Micro, is designed for resource-constrained environments.
“Running Sensory’s speech and biometric technologies directly on Qualcomm Technologies’ Low Power Island will open exciting new applications for on-device AI,” said Todd Mozer, CEO of Sensory, Inc. “We’re now able to deliver high-quality wake word and voice control experiences at extremely low power, ensuring privacy, responsiveness, and battery efficiency—all at the edge.”
Seamless Integration with Qualcomm Technologies
Sensory has developed a model format compatible with Qualcomm’s audio technology stack, allowing for the storage of multiple speech models and key phrases. This compatibility leverages standard Qualcomm modules and interfaces, simplifying integration for developers across various product designs.
A new packing and unpacking toolset allows the module to integrate with Qualcomm and Android sound system layers, enabling applications to dynamically extract model data, such as keyphrase strings and confidence levels, using existing Qualcomm Technologies’ pathways.
Benefits for Wearable Device Manufacturers
“This partnership showcases how we work together to unlock rich voice interfaces on power-constrained devices, making it easier for OEMs to add security-focused, voice-first experiences to next-generation wearable devices powered by Snapdragon Wear Elite,” said John Kehrli, Senior Director, Product Management, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. The innovations promise smarter, faster, and more power-efficient wake word detection, voice commands, and speaker recognition on intelligent wearables.
