Seoul’s Grand Park Prepares for Spring with Renewed Gardens and Visitor Safety Measures

Seoul Grand Park is undergoing extensive preparations to welcome visitors this spring, with a focus on enhancing the park’s floral displays, improving cleanliness, and bolstering visitor safety. Extensive Tree Cleaning and Landscaping

Park officials have completed a comprehensive tree cleaning operation to remove accumulated winter dust and pollutants. A total of 1,067 trees, including cherry trees and zelkovas along the popular Elephant Train route, were washed to promote healthy growth and prepare for the spring blooming season. Children’s Grand Park, located in Neung-dong, Gwangjin-gu, saw a significant increase in visitors in 2025, reaching 8.03 million – the highest number in eight years, surpassing the 8 million visitors recorded in 2017. Visitor numbers have steadily risen from 5.39 million in 2020 to 7.10 million in 2024. May, coinciding with Family Month and the Seoul Children’s Garden Festival, was the peak month with 1.03 million visitors. Seoul Metropolitan Government announced these figures.
