Crédit Mutuel Arkéa Acquires Seqino to Drive Electronic Invoicing Adoption

Crédit Mutuel Arkéa has acquired Seqino, a French digital platform specializing in electronic invoicing, in a strategic move to prepare for the widespread adoption of mandatory electronic invoicing in France by September 2026. This acquisition aims to support businesses in their digital transition and streamline financial processes.

Seqino: A Sovereign Approved Platform

Founded in 2021, Seqino has quickly established itself as a key player in the electronic invoicing space, becoming an Approved Platform (Plateforme de Dématérialisation Partenaire – PDP) certified by the French administration. The platform was built to specifically address the requirements of the upcoming electronic invoicing reforms.

Benefits for Businesses

Seqino offers a comprehensive solution for managing invoices and optimizing cash flow. The platform provides:

  • Complete White Label Service for Accounting Firms: Purchasing and sales management, pre-accounting and banking functionalities, all customizable with the firm’s branding.
  • API for Publishers: A gray label electronic invoicing API for rapid compliance or a white label solution to operate as a full-fledged Approved Platform.
  • Enhanced Security: Seqino is the only Approved Platform with dual certification to combat VAT fraud, holding both NF525 and NF203 certifications, alongside ISO 27001 certification for information systems security.

Commitment to Data Sovereignty

Seqino prioritizes data sovereignty by exclusively utilizing servers located in France. Customer data is hosted by OVH in Gravelines, and the entire platform, including encrypted backups, is hosted by Outscale, also in France. Outscale is SecNumCloud certified, meeting the highest French security and digital sovereignty standards. Seqino is a 100% French company with no foreign investment, and is now part of the Crédit Mutuel Arkéa group.

Strategic Alignment with Crédit Mutuel Arkéa

The integration of Seqino aligns with Crédit Mutuel Arkéa’s FAIRE 2030 strategic plan, which focuses on innovation and diversification. This acquisition will allow Seqino to accelerate its development, reach a wider range of small and medium-sized enterprises (TPE/PME), and offer its services to the group’s partners, including accounting firms, banks, and software publishers.

Looking Ahead

By integrating Seqino, Crédit Mutuel Arkéa is positioning itself as a leader in supporting businesses through the transition to electronic invoicing, offering a secure, compliant, and user-friendly solution. This move underscores the growing importance of digital sovereignty and the demand for innovative financial solutions in France.
