N’Golo Kanté Departs Al Ittihad, Fenerbahçe Transfer Falls Through

N’Golo Kanté has officially left Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad after a two-and-a-half season stint. The departure follows reports of the French midfielder refusing to train, signaling his desire to leave the Saudi champions. A potential transfer to Fenerbahçe ultimately failed to materialize due to issues with documentation submitted by Al Ittihad,as confirmed by the Turkish club. FIFA authorized Kanté’s departure despite the failed transfer.

Al Ittihad has responded to Kanté’s exit by securing the signing of Youssef En-Nesyri, a Moroccan striker previously with Fenerbahçe, and George Ilenikhena from Monaco. En-Nesyri, who scored eight goals in 27 games for Fenerbahçe this season, is expected to fill the void left by Karim Benzema, who recently joined Al Hilal.

Both En-Nesyri and Ilenikhena are potential candidates to make thier debuts for Al Ittihad in their upcoming match against Al Nassr on Friday.
