Serrières Book Fair 2026: A Celebration of Literature and Local Authors

The fifth edition of the Serrières Book Fair will take place on March 7, 2026, in the wedding hall of the town hall, offering a vibrant platform for readers, authors, and illustrators from the Ardèche region and beyond. The fair aims to connect people with the latest literary creations and foster a love of reading.

A Diverse Range of Exhibitors

This year’s fair will host 30 exhibitors, including publishers, authors, and illustrators, showcasing a wide variety of genres. Visitors can explore comics, adventure novels, children’s albums, historical novels, detective stories, and thrillers. Le Réveil du Vivarais reports that the event is designed for readers of all levels, from beginners to passionate enthusiasts.

Spotlight on Local Talent

Several authors with ties to the Ardèche region will be featured at the fair:

• Anne Quintard: Originally from northern France but now residing in Ardèche, Quintard is a versatile novelist who has published thrillers, historical fiction, societal novels, and children’s albums. She as well leads writing workshops at the Annonay library.
• Benjamin Jurdic: A Franco-Swiss artist born in Florida, Jurdic graduated from the Emile Cohl school of applied arts and works as an illustrator and comic book author in Lyon, known for works like The King’s Secret and Happy Complete.
• Stéphane Buffa: An author from Sablon who works in the chemical industry, Buffa published Eleven and one stories around the Rhône following a collaboration with a designer friend, sparking a passion for historical novels.
• Martial Fiatoa: A retired schoolteacher from Vienna, Fiatoa has written around fifteen novels for young readers over the past 20 years, blending local and broader historical themes.
