The information evening will take place on Wednesday, March 18th, at 6 p.m. at the Rodalben clinic location, Kirchbergstrasse 14. Participation is free of charge, and registration is not required.

Expert Speakers and Topics

Varto Seeid, section head for shoulder surgery at the Clinic for Operative Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery, will be a featured speaker. He is a certified shoulder surgeon with extensive experience, previously serving as head physician at clinics in Hermeskeil and Bitburg.

The shoulder is a complex joint, and interventions require precise coordination of stability, mobility, and strength. Mr. Seeid will discuss modern therapeutic approaches and when conservative treatments are sufficient. He emphasizes that shoulder surgery should only be performed when truly necessary, with each patient’s case considered individually. Often, symptoms can be alleviated through conservative measures like physical therapy.

Dr. Med. Michael Ziehmer, head physician at the Clinic for Clinical Anesthesia at the Pirmasens Municipal Hospital, will also present. His focus will be on the role of anesthesia in shoulder treatments.

Modern anesthesia isn’t limited to the procedure itself. It also plays a crucial role in pain management after surgery and during rehabilitation. Regional anesthesia and multimodal pain therapies are increasingly important components of treatment.
