Siemens AG Reports Net Sales Breakdown Across Segments

Siemens AG operates as a major global manufacturer of electronic and electro-technical equipment, structuring its operations across four primary product segments alongside a dedicated financial services division. According to company operational data, medical equipment generates the largest share of net sales at 29.6%, encompassing medical imaging systems, laboratory diagnostics, and hearing aid systems.

Smart Infrastructure and Building Technologies

Smart building and infrastructure solutions account for 28.7% of total net sales. This division delivers energy transition solutions, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) products, and comprehensive building management systems. Security offerings within this segment include fire detection and protection systems, access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.

Digital Industrial Equipment and Automation

Digital industrial equipment represents 22.1% of net sales. Siemens provides automated production, assembly, logistics, and monitoring systems designed for modern manufacturing environments.

Mobility Solutions and Regional Distribution

Mobility solutions and systems drive 15.8% of net sales, providing rail vehicles, rail automation systems, rail electrification systems, and digital cloud-based transit solutions. Financial activities, including leasing, equipment and project financing, and financial consulting services, account for the remaining 3.8% of net sales.

Geographically, net sales distribution highlights strong regional footprints across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States, Africa, and the Middle East combined represent the largest regional market at 32%, followed closely by the United States at 28%. Germany accounts for 14.8% of net sales, Asia and Australia contribute 11.5%, China represents 9.1%, and the rest of the Americas accounts for 4.6%.
