Silva Sweden Launches Specialized Lighting and Storage Gear for Cyclists
Silva offers cycling gear designed for mountain biking, gravel riding, road cycling, and commuting. The product lineup introduces high-lumen lighting systems, specialized mounting kits, and waterproof storage options designed to maintain rider visibility and equipment protection through changing weather conditions and unlit terrain.
The outdoor equipment manufacturer structured the new release around distinct riding disciplines. For technical mountain biking and fast gravel routes, the company launched the Free MTB 2500 lighting kit. The system delivers up to 2,500 lumens in Speed Mode, utilizing a 36 Wh battery and bundled handlebar, helmet, and battery mounts alongside a red safety light.
Performance Specifications for Night Riding
Riders facing demanding downhill sections can access higher output through the Free Action 3400 model, which reaches up to 3,400 lumens in Speed Mode. Both lighting configurations pair with a 36 Wh power source, though Speed Mode functions as a temporary brightness boost rather than a continuous maximum output.
Handlebar setups project a steady beam along the bike’s direction of travel, while helmet-mounted configurations allow the illumination to follow head movements through tight corners and technical obstacles.
Weather-Resistant Backpacks for Commuters
For daily bike commuters, Silva introduced the Backpack Orbit 25L and the Backpack Lap 25L. The Orbit 25L features a waterproof construction and a dedicated laptop sleeve tailored for wet-weather riding. The Lap 25L offers a spacious, weather-resistant storage alternative for urban transit and everyday gear organization.
Both commuter models provide 25 litres of internal volume to accommodate work equipment, spare layers, and daily essentials. Longer expeditions can incorporate waterproof dry bags to segregate electronics and extra clothing within compatible bike luggage.
