Silversea has officially launched its 77-day Grand South Pacific Expedition 2026, sending the expedition ship Silver Cloud on a multi-country voyage from Western Australia to Chile, according to announcements from Silversea and Porthole Cruise and Travel. The journey spans 57 destinations across 11 countries, concluding in Valparaiso on November 4, 2026.
Route and Itinerary Highlights
The 77-day voyage departs from Fremantle near Perth, Western Australia, carrying guests through some of the world’s most remote waters. According to Porthole Cruise and Travel, the itinerary covers Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji, Tonga, the Cook Islands, French Polynesia, Pitcairn Island, and Easter Island before reaching South America.
Silversea President Bert Hernandez noted that the itinerary highlights the line’s focus on immersive, long-duration travel. “Our Grand Voyages are the fullest expression of what makes Silversea the leader in destination immersion—the rare luxury of time, paired with unmatched access to the most remote corners of the world,” Hernandez said, as reported by Porthole Cruise and Travel.
The departure of Silver Cloud also marks the conclusion of Silversea’s 2026 Kimberley season, which featured 10 voyages and 25 destinations along Australia’s northwest coast between May 8 and September 6, according to Porthole Cruise and Travel.
Exclusive Events and Expedition Leadership
Passengers aboard the Grand South Pacific Expedition will participate in two exclusive shoreside events during the journey. On September 6, guests will visit the Finniss River Lodge in Australia’s Northern Territory for a specialized luncheon and helicopter flight. Later in the voyage, on October 26, the ship will call at Toki Rapa Nui on Easter Island, featuring a concert by pianist Mahani Teave, visits to the moai at Tahai, and a traditional hoko warrior dance, according to Porthole Cruise and Travel.

Throughout the 77-day journey, Silversea’s team of onboard Expedition Experts will guide shore excursions, host daily briefings, and provide evening recap sessions detailing the natural history and culture of the visited regions.
Future Silversea Grand Voyages
Following the conclusion of the Grand South Pacific Expedition in November 2026, Silversea has scheduled several other extended itineraries. Upcoming deployments include the 50-day Grand Mediterranean 2026 aboard Silver Spirit, followed by the Grand Mediterranean 2027, Grand Voyage South America 2028, and Grand Voyage Asia 2028, as detailed by Porthole Cruise and Travel.
