Simon Mignolet Announces Retirement from Football

Former Liverpool and Belgium goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has announced his retirement from professional football at the complete of the 2025-26 season. The 38-year-aged, currently playing for Club Brugge, will bring an end to a career spanning nearly two decades.

A Career Spanning Multiple Leagues

Mignolet began his professional journey with Sint-Truidense in 2004, making 100 senior league appearances over six years. He then moved to Sunderland in 2010, before securing a transfer to Liverpool in 2013 [1].
