In a TikTok video, Olympic gymnast Simone Biles broke down in tears while saying goodbye to her Texas home, which she and her husband, Jonathan Owens, spent six years building memories in. The 29-year-old athlete shared her emotional reaction online as the couple prepared to part with the 3,998-square-foot property located in a gated community near Spring, Texas.
Selling the Spring Property in Four Days
The four-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom home went on the market September 22 and quickly went under contract just four days later on September 26, according to the Houston Business Journal. The sale officially closed on October 15. Originally listed at $1.275 million, the property ultimately sold for somewhere between $1.08 million and $1.24 million, based on figures from the Houston Association of Realtors.
Biles expressed surprise at the rapid sale and her own unexpected emotional response to leaving the residence. This house will be on the market for the first time and I don’t know why I’m boohoo crying,
Biles said in her video, adding that she felt she grew up and became a real adult inside the walls of the house.
Amenities Inside the Residence
The home sits on just over an acre of land and features a heated backyard swimming pool, a sauna, a dedicated dog-washing station, and a custom wine wall with a fridge. Interior highlights include a waterfall island kitchen equipped with quartz countertops, a hidden pantry, an oversized three-car garage, and a spa-inspired primary bathroom.
Biles and Owens originally moved into the property in 2020. Throughout Owens’s professional football career—which included stints with the Houston Texans, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, and Indianapolis Colts—the couple maintained the Texas residence as a central hub.
Transitioning to a Newly Built Custom Mansion
Addressing followers in the comments of her post, Biles clarified that the sold property is separate from the couple’s newly constructed mansion, also located in Spring, Texas. That custom home finished construction on November 11, 2025, following a design and approval process that began in 2020.
The real estate transition comes months after Biles reported a frightening incident in September involving her Chicago home, where her Porsche GTS was stolen during a break-in. The vehicle was later recovered, and the couple subsequently replaced the car and added a Doberman to their household.
