Meet Eleora Liang, a true girl boss.While balancing schoolwork,this Singaporean manages inventory,answers customer questions,and updates her business website.

eleora was homeschooled from a young age and encouraged by her mum to explore various life skills.beyond A Little Ripple, sheS learned to code, crochet, cook, and play the violin.

“Homeschooling and mainstream school are very different. Homeschool allows me time to pursue my passions and manage this business,” the former South View Primary School student told AsiaOne.”If I were still in school, I wouldn’t have the time to manage the business.”

Though she misses her friends sometiems, Eleora doesn’t plan to return to mainstream school. “I understand homeschooling isn’t for everyone, as it requires self-discipline. For now, I prefer homeschooling so I can continue this and my violin, and spend time with my family.”

From Stationery to Pickleball Paddles

Eleora frist explored entrepreneurship in March 2022, while living in Chiang Mai, Thailand.Encouraged by her mum, she sold stationery and small gifts to teachers for Children’s Day when she was just 10 years old.

“That business wasn’t sustainable as it relied on special occasions,” she explained.

she later considered selling clothes but abandoned the idea due to budget limitations. She also dismissed selling home decor as the items were too fragile to ship.
