Beyond ANP: A Protein-Like Polymer Approach

Complementing the ANP-boosting injection, researchers at the University of California San Diego and Northwestern University have developed a separate therapy involving an intravenously injected protein-like polymer (PLP). UC San Diego News details that this PLP therapy not only encourages tissue repair by modulating the immune system but also enhances the survival of heart muscle cells. Studies in rats have demonstrated effectiveness for up to five weeks post-injection. Northwestern News explains that the PLP works by neutralizing proteins that hinder the body’s natural healing process, allowing restorative proteins to function effectively.
