SJE Acquires Wilson Controls to Expand New England Automation Footprint
SJE, Inc. acquired Wilson Controls, LLC, a Lee, New Hampshire-based provider of automation and control solutions for water, wastewater, and environmental applications, expanding its geographic presence and technical capabilities across New England. Founded in 2012, Wilson Controls engineers, programs, integrates, and supports programmable logic controller (PLC) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, instrumentation, and control panels.
The transaction brings Wilson Controls’ UL 508A and UL 698A panel fabrication capabilities into SJE’s Engineered Control Solutions division. The integration broadens SJE’s existing portfolio in municipal and industrial water infrastructure markets. Financial terms of the private acquisition were not disclosed in the company announcement.

SJE Chief Executive Officer Bjorn Haldorsen stated that Wilson Controls is a strong strategic fit due to its regional customer relationships and complete automation solutions. Haldorsen noted that the acquisition allows the combined organization to support more customers across the entire project lifecycle, spanning engineering, panel fabrication, programming, startup, training, and long-term service.
Scott E. Drapeau, P.E., owner of Wilson Controls, stated that joining SJE provides his team with additional resources while preserving their core focus on understanding customer processes and delivering reliable control systems. Andy Wilson, President of SJE’s Engineered Control Solutions Division, added that the incoming automation professionals align closely with the company’s ongoing work for water, wastewater, and industrial customers.
