Škoda Enyaq and Elroq Receive Significant Updates for 2027 Model Year
Škoda is set to release a series of updates for its popular Enyaq and Elroq electric vehicles with the 2027 model year. These enhancements, slated for delivery starting in summer 2026, focus on improved infotainment, battery technology and practicality. The updates will apply to recent production vehicles only, with no retrofit options available for existing models.
Enhanced Infotainment System
Both the Enyaq and Elroq will debut an upgraded Android-based infotainment system, offering a redesigned user interface and improved functionality. The new system features a redesigned home screen, a grid layout, favorites, and an enhanced search function, alongside expanded personalization options. Users will also gain access to an app store, including popular applications like Spotify and YouTube. Integration with Google Maps, including saved locations and intelligent route planning, is also a key feature.
Battery Updates and Performance
Entry-level versions, the Enyaq 60 and Elroq 60, will switch to lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) batteries with a gross capacity of 61 kWh (58 kWh usable). These models will be paired with a 140 kW motor and have an electronically limited top speed of 160 km/h. For models equipped with the larger NMC “85” battery, towing capacity has been increased to 1.8 tonnes for all Elroq 85 variants, 2.0 tonnes for Enyaq 85/85x, and 2.2 tonnes for Enyaq RS.
RS Trim Adjustments
The Enyaq RS trim will see a slight reduction in net battery capacity to 77 kWh and a peak DC charging rate of 165 kW, achieving a 10-80% recharge time of 29 minutes.
Increased Practicality and New Features
Škoda is enhancing the practicality of both models with the addition of a 21-liter “frunk” (front trunk) featuring gas struts for straightforward access. Other new features include Qi2 wireless phone charging with up to 25W of cooling power, a 230V electrical outlet in the boot, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability. Updated driver assistance systems include Travel Assist 3.0, intersection crossing assistance, and improved driver monitoring.
