On April 3, the leaders of domestic heavy music “Skyforger” will open their Latvian concert series with a performance in Jelgava, at the “Melno Cepurīšu Balerija” club.
After the ambitious presentation of the new album “Teikas” in the “Xiaomi Arena” and the widely attended concert in the “Palladium” concert hall in Riga, it already seemed that “Skyforger” would take a break with concerts at home for a while, but nothing – very soon “debesukalėji” will once again delight fans of Latvian heavy music live.
The concert in Jelgava will also be special due to the fact that “Skyforger” have not performed in this city for 25 (!) years. It should only be reminded that the capacity of “Melno Cepurīšu Ballerijas” is limited for a band of this rank – the club is neither an arena nor a “Palladium”… It should be noted that the evening will be opened by “doom death” metal heavyweights “Frailty”, which also includes representatives of the Jelgava metal music scene.
Currently, “Skyforger” have gone to Europe, where they will spend February on a massive tour “Rites Of The Blood Moon Tour” together with the Swedish “Ereb Altor”, the German “Wolfchant” and the French “Belore”. The tour schedule includes a dozen concerts in Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Germany and France.
