Juraj Slafkovský Sets Canadiens Record, Leads Montreal to Victory

Juraj Slafkovský, the Montreal Canadiens forward, etched his name into the franchise’s history books on Thursday night, surpassing Henri Richard for the most career points before the age of 22. This milestone came as the Canadiens defeated the Ottawa Senators 3-2.

Slafkovský’s Record-Breaking Performance

With his 24th goal of the season, Slafkovský reached 164 career points, surpassing the previous record of 163 held by Canadiens legend Henri Richard. TSN and NHL.com/sk both reported on the achievement.

Slafkovský opened the scoring just 76 seconds into the game on a power play, assisted by Ivan Demidov and Nick Suzuki. He now has 53 points (24 goals and 29 assists) in 64 games this season, setting a new personal best.

Game Recap: Canadiens vs. Senators

The Canadiens secured a 3-2 victory over the Senators in a crucial divisional matchup. After Slafkovský’s early goal, Ottawa responded with two goals from Drake Batherson and Tim Stützle. However, Montreal rallied with goals from Alex Texier and Demidov to secure the win.
