SlingAgent gains Pinterest production access for automated pins

SlingAgent secured official production access from Pinterest this week, clearing the platform to post pins automatically on users’ behalf after completing a review process. The approval moves Pinterest out of the “coming soon” tile in the automation tool’s connection grid, allowing marketers and creators to manage pins alongside posts for other social networks.

How Pinterest Integration Works

Unlike standard cross-posting tools that duplicate text from other networks, SlingAgent generates platform-specific content tailored for Pinterest search habits. The system writes keyword-rich, benefit-first descriptions accompanied by relevant hashtags and designated images pulled from user links, uploaded manually, or generated automatically via Pro tier AI artwork. Every pin directs traffic through a SlingAgent tracking link, routing user clicks straight into centralized analytics tagged specifically as Pinterest traffic.

Scheduling and Board Organization

Users can publish pins immediately, add them to a schedule, or rely on autopilot settings to choose optimal posting hours. For evergreen content, SlingAgent cycles links back into the queue with fresh angles once traffic slows down. Organization relies directly on Pinterest boards loaded straight from accounts into a drop-down menu. Creators can set a default board for the entire account or assign specific boards on a per-link basis, such as routing home-office affiliate products directly to a Home Office board.

How to connect and use Pinterest with SlingAgent?

How do you connect Pinterest to SlingAgent?

Go to Accounts, select Add social network, and choose Pinterest to authorize the platform. Users must have at least one public board on their Pinterest account to complete the setup.

What happens if a linked Pinterest board gets deleted?

SlingAgent does not automatically redirect deleted boards. Instead, the system alerts the user and points them directly to the link settings to select a replacement board.

How does pricing affect Pinterest publishing?

On the free plan, SlingAgent writes the pins for users to post manually. Paid plans automate the actual publishing process, and all new accounts begin with a 14-day Pro trial requiring no credit card.
