Sony Bravia 8 OLED TV: Now Substantially Cheaper

JapanS Sony introduced its OLED TV, the Bravia 8, last year, replacing the popular A80L model. While the flagship A95L uses a QD-OLED panel, the Bravia 8 builds on a classic WOLED panel with 8 million diodes. In June 2024, the 77-inch version launched at 114,499 CZK, but is now available for 58,400 CZK on the official Sony e-shop – a reduction of almost CZK 56,000. See the deal here.
OLED with Perfect Black and Wide viewing Angle
The core of the Sony Bravia 8 is its OLED panel with 4K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Each of the 8 million diodes lights up independently, delivering infinite contrast – when black is needed, the diode simply turns off. This results in perfectly deep black that,in a dark room,makes the TV appear switched off.
The Cognitive Processor XR,combined with XR Triluminos Pro technology,ensures natural colour reproduction across the entire brightness range. OLED also provides an extremely wide viewing angle – the image remains consistent even when viewed from the side, ensuring everyone on the couch enjoys a clear picture.
Screen as Speaker
Sony utilizes Acoustic Surface audio+ technology with the Bravia 8, turning the OLED panel itself into a speaker. Actuators placed beneath the screen invisibly vibrate the panel,creating acoustics that move in sync with the on-screen action. The result is surround sound directed precisely to where the action is happening.
The TV supports Dolby Atmos for immersive 3D sound, and the speaker system delivers 50W of power in a 2.1 configuration. If you own a compatible Sony soundbar, Acoustic Center Sync transforms the TV into the central channel of yoru home cinema – synchronizing sound from both the TV and soundbar for a unified soundstage.
Gaming Features for PlayStation 5
The Sony Bravia 8 automatically recognizes a connected PlayStation 5 and switches to a mode that automatically reduces input lag. It supports HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, 4K at 120Hz, VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), and Auto HDR Tone Mapping, guaranteeing visibility of every detail even in dark, high-contrast scenes.
