Sony is preparing a remake of the God of War trilogy and the spinoff Sons of Sparta

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Sony closed the broadcast of the State of Play event by confirming the game project “God of War Trilogy Remake” as well as the sudden launch of a spinoff game entitled “God of War: Sons of Sparta” which will be available starting today.
Reported by IGN on Friday, the announcement also featured TC Carson, the original voice of the character Kratos, who confirmed the project and hinted at his return to the God of War franchise.
The first series of God of War games was released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2, followed by a sequel two years later. Meanwhile God of War 3 launched in 2010 for PlayStation 3.
Sony has not announced a release date for the “God of War Trilogy Remake” project. Sony said development was still in the early stages, and the presentation at the State of Play event only showed the game logo without gameplay footage.
Meanwhile, “God of War: Sons of Sparta” comes as a two-dimensional action platformer game developed by independent retro game studio Mega Cat Studios. The game is now available for PlayStation 5 at a price of 29.99 US dollars (Rp. 504 thousand).
The game tells a story set in Kratos’ youth while training with his brother, Deimos. Players will use spears, shields, and artifacts in battle. The game’s storyline was written by Sony Santa Monica and narrated by TC Carson as adult Kratos.
