beşiktaş has reignited its interest in Algerian left-back Jaouen Hadjam following the unsuccessful pursuit of Konstantinos Tsimikas from Liverpool.Hadjam was initially a top target at the start of the transfer window, but concerns arose due to an ankle injury sustained during the African Cup of Nations, requiring subsequent surgery.
With Hadjam expected to be sidelined for approximately 1.5 months, Beşiktaş is proceeding cautiously and will only re-enter negotiations if there is a considerable reduction in both the player’s transfer fee and annual salary demands.
Young Boys, Hadjam’s current club, had previously sought a transfer fee of €8 million. Beşiktaş has communicated its revised conditions and is awaiting a response from the Swiss club, hoping for a considerably lower fee to resume discussions. The club is prepared to walk away if Young Boys doesn’t meet their financial expectations.
Meanwhile, the potential transfer of nuno Tavares, another left-back option for Beşiktaş, has been put on hold.
