Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Receives Major Techmarine Update
The Imperium needs its Techmarines! Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive have released a significant update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, introducing the highly anticipated Techmarine class, a new PvE mission, and additional content for Season Pass 2 owners. The update is available now, free of charge, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC players.
New Techmarine Class Joins the Fight
The Techmarine class is now playable in both Player versus Environment (PvE) and Player versus Player (PvP) modes, including Operations, Stratagems, Siege, and Eternal War. Specializing in crowd control and area defense, the Techmarine utilizes a unique loadout and automated weaponry integrated directly into their armor. In PvP, the Techmarine will appear as the Red Corsair Warpsmith.
A key addition for the Techmarine is the Omnissian Axe, an exclusive melee weapon designed for sweeping attacks against Tyranids and Thousand Sons. Players controlling the Techmarine can also customize their playstyle with 25 available perks to maximize damage output.
Season Pass 2 Content Expands
Alongside the Techmarine, the update introduces new cosmetic options for Season Pass 2 holders. The Raven Guard Champion Pack provides a new full-body armor skin for the Assault class, alongside a unique Bolt Pistol skin inspired by Raven Guard iconography. The Carcharodons receive their first armor pieces, including two pauldrons, two helmets, and an exclusive chestplate.
Chapter Voice Pack 1 Now Available
Patch 12 also includes Chapter Voice Pack 1, adding over 1,300 re-recorded voicelines in the styles of the Blood Angels, Space Wolves, and Black Templars chapters. The update also introduces three new Space Marine faces that can be applied to any class, removing previous class restrictions on facial customization.
