Spotify’s newest collaboration seeks to serve the passionate fan base of south Indian film and music superstars. The platform has partnered with AMB Kapali, the new premium multiplex recently opened by the popular Hyderabad-based Asian Cinemas chain, in Bengaluru.
Cinema-goers who visit the theatre will come across a Spotify wall where they will find a scannable code directing them to the Mahesh Babu Hits playlist. The wall has been drawing the Telugu actor’s fervent followers who have been sharing their photos with the interactive installation on social media.
With plans in place for the Asian Cinemas group to expand across south India, the company and Spotify aim to roll out similar installations at some of its other properties within the region.
