Spotify Raises Prices for Premium Subscriptions in Belgium

Spotify is raising its subscription prices in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Argentina, according to reports from RTL info. The streaming giant’s standard individual plan will increase from 11.99 euros to 13.99 euros per month, marking the second price hike for the platform in less than two years following previous adjustments.

New Spotify Pricing Tiers and Implementation Dates

Current subscribers in Belgium will see the price increases take effect on their next billing cycle starting in September, according to RTL info. For new users across the affected regions, the higher price points are already active. Alongside the standard individual tier, the Premium Duo plan for two accounts is rising to 19.99 euros per month, while the Premium Family plan climbs to 23.99 euros monthly.

Company Justification for the Price Increase

Spotify communicated the changes directly to its customer base via email notifications. According to the company’s official statements cited by RTL info, the revenue generated from these higher rates will allow the platform “to invest more in Premium versions” and support artists while continuing to improve the overall user experience.
