Spurs Announce DAZN Streaming Deal for 2026-27 Season

San Antonio Spurs fans facing years of frustration over local broadcast options have a new streaming home for the upcoming 2026-27 season. According to an announcement by the franchise on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, the team secured a media partnership with major sports streaming platform DAZN, as reported by Madalyn Mendoza at Axios.

DAZN Streaming Deal Terms and Pricing

The agreement provides Spurs fans with a single streaming destination for all games that do not feature exclusive national television broadcasts, according to Axios. In addition to regular-season matchups, DAZN will stream all preseason games and team-produced programming, including pre- and post-game shows. According to Axios, the service operates throughout the team’s home broadcast market covering Central, South, and West Texas. A monthly pass costs $19.99, while a full season pass runs $119.99. Spurs season ticket members receive a 20% discount on season passes, and the platform offers a free seven-day trial.

Broadcast Limitations and Free Over-the-Air Games

The streaming platform will not carry every matchup on the schedule, as some national games remain with the NBA’s national media partners, according to Axios. To supplement the streaming package, the Spurs will offer 22 games free over the air through a local broadcast partner. Details regarding the specific station and broadcast schedule remain forthcoming, according to Axios. Beyond basketball, the subscription service will carry select Spurs Sports & Entertainment programming, including San Antonio FC matches and Austin Spurs games.

Shift Away From Regional Cable Networks

The partnership arrives following the shutdown of FanDuel Sports Network, which previously served as the team’s primary local broadcaster. That closure left local fans navigating a patchwork of viewing options through their cable bundles. With the launch of the DAZN subscription service expected in the coming weeks, the team transitions away from traditional cable models toward a localized digital streaming framework for the 2026-27 season.
