The victory was built on a strong start, stifling defense, and a balanced offensive attack.

Second Quarter Surge Sets the Tone

The Spurs took control of the game with a 13-0 run to open the second quarter. Key contributions during this stretch came from Julian Champagnie, who hit two three-pointers, and Harrison Barnes, who completed a three-point play. At halftime, San Antonio led 61-49.

Balanced Scoring and Efficient Shooting

Stephon Castle led the Spurs in scoring with 20 points in 21 minutes, shooting 8-of-11 from the field and adding three steals. Victor Wembanyama contributed 17 points, 11 rebounds, and five blocks in 25 minutes of play. De’Aaron Fox added 15 points and eight assists.
