Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Mr. Chen, 65, a security guard with a 40-year smoking history, discovered an irregularly shaped skin tumor on his cheek near his ear six months ago. Daily washing didn’t improve its appearance, prompting him to seek medical attention. He was diagnosed with cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma. Six months later, Mr. Lin, also a smoker, received the same diagnosis – cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, but on his calf.

Cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma is a cancer originating from skin cells. While typically not life-threatening, it can metastasize if left untreated.
