Jakarta: Square Enix stood out in the latest Nintendo Direct event by introducing three big titles that will be available throughout 2026. These three games offer different genres, from horror mystery to action-fantasy RPG.

Paranormasight: The Mermaid’s Curse

The sequel to the mystery series Paranormasight was officially announced with a release schedule on February 19, 2026. This game will be available on Nintendo Switch, PC (Steam), iOS, and Android. Set in the Showa era in Japan, the story focuses on urban legends and occult folklore.
Square Enix is opening pre-orders immediately, as well as offering a 75% discount on the first game until February 18. The presence of this second series is expected to strengthen the position of mystery horror visual novels in the global market.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

As a continuation of the Final Fantasy VII remake project, this title is scheduled for release on June 3, 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox PC. The game has earned more than 125 perfect scores and 40 Game of the Year awards.
Square Enix added a new feature called Streamlined Progression Mode which allows players to enjoy the game with unlimited MP/HP, a faster battle gauge, and a simpler weapon system.

Pre-orders offer exclusive bonuses in the form of Materia, armor, and accessories, while the physical Switch 2 edition includes special Magic: The Gathering cards. Additionally, the PS5 and PC versions will experience a permanent price reduction starting February 9, 2026.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales

This action-RPG game will launch on June 18, 2026 on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Players will follow Elliot and Faie’s adventures across four different eras with a Magicite-based combat system. Square Enix prepared Elliot’s Departure Pack as a pre-order bonus containing accessories and increased combat abilities.
The collector’s edition will feature the official soundtrack as well as an exclusive table clock statue. Based on feedback from the demo, the developers made a number of improvements such as faster character movement, a smoother weapon shortcut system, and new difficulty options.
2026 looks set to be an important period for the company, with three big titles set to greet fans across multiple platforms. These three games demonstrate Square Enix’s strategy to expand its reach while strengthening its reputation as one of the most active publishers in the global gaming industry.
