Standard Chartered has launched a free digital platform called Supply Net Zero to help its corporate suppliers track emissions and build practical decarbonisation strategies, according to an official company announcement.
The newly unveiled tool aims to support the bank’s operational net-zero targets by engaging its supply chain directly. According to Standard Chartered, the platform provides comprehensive emissions tracking that allows participating companies to collect and analyze carbon data to understand their environmental impact. Users can access templated decarbonisation strategies tailored to specific business ambitions, participate in sustainability education webinars, and utilize real-time dashboards to monitor progress for internal and external stakeholders.
Voluntary Supplier Access and Onboarding
Access to the Supply Net Zero platform is entirely voluntary and free of charge for active suppliers in the bank’s network, according to Standard Chartered.
The institution noted that participation will not affect existing contracts or business negotiations. However, the bank retains the right to remove access if a company is no longer an active supplier, and participants can withdraw from the platform at any time.
Introductory Events and Advisory Costs
To help users get started, Standard Chartered is hosting two introductory supplier events. Companies can request sign-up details and event schedules by contacting the bank’s supply chain sustainability team. While the platform itself carries no cost, the bank stated that its sustainability partner, Schneider Electric, offers specialized and tailored advisory services at the supplier’s own cost and risk.
Industry-Wide Carbon Accountability Shifts
Similar platforms, such as the Synesgy global supply chain management tool highlighted by CRIF, utilize ESG self-assessments, evaluation benchmarks, and updated monitoring systems during the procurement process to protect companies against operational and reputational risks, according to CRIF English.

Supplier Diversity and Inclusion Integration
Alongside environmental metrics, Standard Chartered emphasized that its broader supply chain strategy includes a dedicated focus on increasing supplier diversity and inclusion. The bank encourages all eligible suppliers to review the platform’s resources as part of their individual sustainability journeys.
