Stanford Divers Secure Spots at NCAA Championships

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Misha Andriyuk and Gunnar Grubbs of Stanford University have qualified for the 2026 NCAA Championship following their performances at the NCAA Zone E Championships, held at Northern Arizona University from March 9-11.

Andriyuk’s Double Qualification

Misha Andriyuk, a sophomore, will compete in both the 3-meter springboard and platform events at the NCAA Championship. He finished second in the platform competition with a cumulative score of 747.85 over 12 dives, achieving a finals score of 398.00. This secures his return to the championship in the event he won as a freshman. He also qualified in the 3-meter springboard, placing sixth with a total score of 706.00, highlighted by a final dive – a Forward 4 ½ Somersault Tuck – that earned him a score of 77.90.

Grubbs to Compete in All Three Events

Gunnar Grubbs will participate in all three diving events – 1-meter, 3-meter, and platform – after qualifying in each. He secured his spot in the 3-meter finals with a score of 373.35, consistently finishing in the top four throughout the rounds. Grubbs also finished third on the platform and seventh in 1-meter diving, demonstrating his versatility.
