StarFlyer Resumes Kitakyushu-Taipei Route in September 2026
Japanese carrier StarFlyer will resume scheduled international service between Kitakyushu Airport (KKJ) and Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) on September 2, 2026, marking the restoration of a route suspended since March 2020. The airline initially offered international charter flights on this route in the first quarter of 2026 as a prelude to the resumption of regular operations.
Service Details
StarFlyer will operate three weekly round-trip flights between Kitakyushu and Taipei during the 2026 summer schedule, continuing until October 24. Flights will utilize Airbus A320 aircraft and feature late-night and early-morning departures.

- 7G801 KKJ2340 – 0110+1TPE (Kitakyushu to Taipei)
- 7G800 TPE0300 – 0620KKJ (Taipei to Kitakyushu)
Previous Suspension and Future Plans
The Kitakyushu-Taipei route was initially suspended in March 2020. StarFlyer had previously targeted resuming scheduled international operations within fiscal year 2027 (April 2027 to March 2028), but has accelerated the timeline.
The airline’s other international route, connecting Nagoya Chubu Centrair International Airport (NGO) to Taipei Taoyuan, remains suspended.
Reservation Availability
Reservations for the resumed Kitakyushu-Taipei service are expected to open around June 2026.
