The break-in at Al’s Comic Shop was reported at 4:30 a.m. On Tuesday, April 1, 2026. Intruders broke the front door and gained access to the backroom, where they stole sports cards and comic books according to the Stockton Record. The front door was boarded up as of Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
A History of Break-Ins
Owner Al Greco, who has operated the store since 1979, noted that break-ins have been a recurring issue. His son indicated that the store is hit “once a year or sometimes two to three times a year.”

Following the latest incident, the Stockton community has shown overwhelming support for Al’s Comic Shop. Customers have been visiting the store to shop and offer assistance. FOX40 reports that people were lining up outside the store before it opened on Wednesday morning.
