Strive Expands Bitcoin Treasury by 11 Percent Through Warrant Exercises

Strive expanded its Bitcoin holdings by 3,311 BTC in the week ending Oct. 9, reaching a total of 32,773 BTC and becoming the fifth-largest publicly traded corporate holder of the cryptocurrency, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission reported by TradingView News. The corporate treasury additions outpaced the issuance of new shares, providing existing stockholders with a larger proportional stake in the digital asset. The purchases occurred as investors exercised $208 million worth of warrants ahead of their Tuesday expiration, leaving about 15.3 million warrants unexercised, according to a statement on X by Strive Chairman and CEO Matt Cole. Strive acquired the coins at an average price of approximately $84,500 each. Yahoo Finance data from Tuesday showed Bitcoin trading at roughly $83,300 per coin, while Strive’s stock, traded under the ticker ASST, remained steady at $27.52.

Corporate Capital Shifts and Shareholder Metrics

The warrant-driven capital raise increased Strive’s Bitcoin reserves per share by 11.2% during the reporting period, surpassing the 9.4% growth in its effective number of outstanding common shares. To manage its capital structure further, the company amended its foundational documents to set a mandatory minimum issuance price of $100 for its SATA preferred stock, restricting management from issuing those shares below that threshold. Those preferred shares traded at $99.40 at the time of review.

The strategy drew attention from MicroStrategy founder Michael Saylor, whose firm pioneered the corporate Bitcoin treasury model. Saylor noted on X that Strive generates demand for Bitcoin by converting demand for digital equity through ASST and digital credit through SATA. Strategy added a more modest 250 BTC to its own reserves during the same week, bringing its total to 848,250 BTC and maintaining its standing as the largest corporate holder of the cryptocurrency.
