Sundance Film Festival Sets 2027 Boulder Debut, Announces Venues

The Sundance Institute has officially announced the dates and venues for the first Sundance Film Festival to be held in Boulder, Colorado. The milestone event will run from January 21 to January 31, 2027.

A Novel Home for Independent Film

After over four decades in Utah, the Sundance Film Festival is relocating to Boulder, Colorado, beginning with the 2027 festival as announced in March 2025. The Sundance Institute Labs will remain at the Sundance Resort in Utah.

Venues Across Boulder and CU Boulder

The festival will utilize a diverse range of venues across the city of Boulder and the University of Colorado Boulder campus. Confirmed venues include:
