The garmin Fenix 8 series has 5 unique buttons, because it is designed to be super waterproof. So, if pressed, this button will trigger the sensor on the inside of the watch. Making it safer and more resilient. To provide the feel of pressing a button, there is tactile feedback given every time we press the button.

On the left side there are 3 settings buttons:

* At the top is the button to turn on the backlight, if pressed twice quickly it will turn on the flashlight
* The middle button is the scroll up button
* The bottom button is the scroll down button

Then in the middle there is a 5th generation optical sensor which already has ECG monitoring capabilities, which is more or less like this. Apart from that, this sensor can also monitor skin temperature, and is the latest heart rate monitoring sensor from Garmin.

As for the strap, it’s easy to put on and take off quickly.

Garmin Fenix 8 MicroLED Review: A Premium Multisport Smartwatch

The Garmin Fenix 8 MicroLED is a high-end multisport smartwatch boasting a remarkably radiant screen. This review details some key aspects of its operation and setup.

From the watch face, scrolling down accesses the Glance Widget – a function for quick access to frequently used features. Users can customize the Glance position, adding or removing widgets as needed. To access the Watch Settings menu, press and hold the middle left button and scroll to the bottom.

For users in Indonesia, it’s recommended to navigate to Advanced > Format > Units within the settings. Here, you can switch the units to metric (meters/KM, Kg, cm, etc.) to align with commonly used measurements in the region, as the default setting is typically American units.

While the Garmin Fenix 8 MicroLED features a touchscreen, the review suggests using the physical buttons for more precise and confident operation. Scrolling can be done via swiping, but buttons offer a more tactile experience.

To ensure faster connectivity for updates and data synchronization, connecting the smartwatch to a WiFi network along with Bluetooth pairing with a smartphone is highly recommended.
