Fatal Head-On Collision in Surry, Maine Claims One Life
Surry, ME – A 47-year-old man died Friday afternoon following a three-vehicle collision on blue hill Road in Surry, Maine. The crash,which involved an SUV,a Subaru Forester,a Honda Fit,adn a Ram 2500,resulted in injuries to two other individuals.
According to the Maine State Police, troopers responded to the scene at approximately 2:44 p.m. Mark Nevells, 47, of Brooksville, was identified as the deceased. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the SUV crossed the center line, leading to a head-on impact with the Subaru Forester and a subsequent collision with a honda Fit and Ram 2500 traveling southbound. The cause of the SUV crossing the center line remains under investigation.
The drivers of the Honda Fit and Ram 2500 were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. Authorities have confirmed that both individuals have since been released.
