Taco Fest Toronto Expands to Mississauga and Montreal in 2026
Toronto’s popular Taco Fest is expanding its footprint in 2026, bringing its celebration of Mexican cuisine to Mississauga and Montreal in addition to its annual Toronto event. The festival, known for attracting large crowds and showcasing the city’s top taco vendors, will kick off its season in Mississauga before heading to Montreal and returning to its original location in Toronto.
Mississauga Launch and Montreal Expansion
For the first time, Taco Fest will begin its 2026 run with a two-day event in Mississauga, held on June 27 and June 28 at Port Credit Memorial Park. Co-founder Brad Wishen stated, “Mississauga has an incredible culinary community, and we’re excited to create a space where local chefs can compete, collaborate and celebrate Mexican cuisine in a big way.”1 Following the Mississauga launch, Taco Fest will head to Montreal’s Clock Tower Pier from September 5 to September 7.
Toronto Event Details
The Toronto leg of Taco Fest will take place at Fort York from August 7 to August 9. The event will feature a lineup of taco vendors, along with other food and beverage options. Attendees will have the opportunity to vote for Toronto’s best taco, following in the footsteps of Birria Catrina, who won the title in 2025.2
