Tata Motors launched the Aeris sedan in India, pricing the vehicle between 5.30 lakh rupee and 9.75 lakh rupee, according to reporting by Gaadiwaadi. The model functions as a facelift of the existing Tigor sedan and targets competitors such as the Maruti Suzuki Dzire within the sub-10-lakh rupee market segment.
The Aeris is built on the X-ALFA platform and provides a ground clearance of 170 mm. Powertrain options for the sedan include both gasoline and CNG configurations paired with manual or automated manual transmissions (AMT). The 1.2-liter three-cylinder Revotron gasoline engine generates 86 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque, while the CNG variant delivers 75.5 PS and 96.5 Nm of torque.
Design Updates and Exterior Equipment
Gaadiwaadi reported that exterior modifications on the Aeris include revised LED headlamps with daytime running lights (DRLs), 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and a connected LED taillamp cluster. Additional exterior styling features consist of a wider lower front grille, fender cladding, a black-painted roof, a shark-fin antenna, and chrome accents on the door handles.
Interior Technology and Cabin Amenities
Inside the cabin, the vehicle features a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Additional interior amenities documented by Gaadiwaadi include a 5-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless smartphone charging, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and iRA connected car technology.
Safety Features and Driver Assistance
The safety equipment list for the Aeris includes six airbags as a standard offering across variants. Gaadiwaadi noted that the sedan is also equipped with Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), hill-hold control, ISOFIX child seat anchor points, and an indirect Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (iTPMS). For visibility and monitoring, the vehicle incorporates a dashcam, a Blind View Monitor, a standard reversing camera, and a 360-degree camera system.
