Treviglio Brianza Basket Claims First Home Win Against Orlandina

TAV Treviglio Brianza Basket defeated Infodrive Orlandina Basket 100-77, securing their first home victory of the 2026/2027 Serie B Nazionale season. The young Treviglio roster controlled all four quarters against a more mature Orlandina side featuring 40-year-old Bernardo Musso and 44-year-old Simas Jasaitis. The win brings Treviglio’s record up in Group A, while Capo d’Orlando remains winless on the road.

Ceremony Marks Palazzetto dello Sport Anniversary

The match took place during the arena’s official ‘PalaFacchettiDay’ celebration. The event marked the 30th anniversary of the Via del Bosco facility, which opened in 1996 and was later named in 2007 after Giacinto Facchetti, the legendary Inter Milan and Italian national team player. Before tip-off, the club unveiled two urban pop art installations created by artist Lucas Streetart to honor Facchetti’s legacy. Organizers also commemorated the venue’s first home game played on October 6, 1996, when Mylena Treviglio defeated NP Vigevano 71-68 on a last-second three-pointer by Alessandro Piperno in front of 1,700 spectators.

First Half Sets the Scoring Pace

Capo d’Orlando opened the scoring quickly when Marco Timperi went to the free-throw line just 13 seconds after the opening tip. Jasaitis pushed the visitors to an early 12-4 lead following a three-point play. Treviglio responded with an 8-0 run, capped by a pair of free throws from Davide Buttiglione that gave the hosts an 18-15 advantage. Treviglio extended that margin to 50-36 by halftime, despite coach Giacomo Cardelli receiving a technical foul in the second quarter for protesting an offensive foul called against Miha Muratović.

Second Half Rout and Stat Leaders

Treviglio pulled away further in the third quarter, opening with a 12-0 run that stretched their lead to 26 points at 62-36. Andrea Mazzucchelli hit a three-pointer with 1:17 remaining in the fourth quarter to push the hosts past the century mark. Mazzucchelli finished with a game-high 23 points and 11 assists, while Muratović added 22 points and seven rebounds. Lorenzo Pollini contributed 12 points, Leonardo Cemmi and Alessandro Dore scored 11 each, and captain Davide Reati chipped in 10. For Orlandina, Dmytro Klyuchnyk led the scoring with 15 points, and Timperi added 13 points alongside seven rebounds.

Upcoming Matches for Both Teams

Treviglio Brianza Basket hits the road on Saturday to face Desio following their dominant home performance. Infodrive Capo d’Orlando travels to play Orzinuovi on Sunday as the visitors search for their first away victory of the campaign. Coach Cardelli will also welcome back center Jacopo Borra to the lineup after the player serves the final game of his suspension.
